AI Visibility Audit Template
A simple framework for reviewing how your brand, products and competitors appear across AI-led buyer journeys.
Use this template to structure a first-pass AI visibility audit. It will not replace a full Odyssiant audit, but it will help you see the questions to ask, the answers to capture and the gaps to investigate.
Audit setup
- Brand or company being audited
- Main website domain
- Product, service line or practice area
- Product/service URL
- Primary buyer profile
- Buyer role or department
- Buyer industry or sector
- Priority competitors
- AI engines tested
- Audit date
Prompt planning
Create prompts across the buyer journey, not just around brand names or keywords.
| Buyer stage | Example prompt type | What to test |
|---|---|---|
| Awareness | Problem-led question | Does AI mention you when the buyer does not know your brand? |
| Consideration | Solution/category question | Are you included as a relevant option? |
| Evaluation | Comparison question | How do you appear against competitors? |
| Decision | Recommendation/risk question | Are you recommended, challenged or ignored? |
Answer capture
- Prompt used
- AI engine tested
- Answer summary
- Was the brand mentioned?
- Was the product/service mentioned?
- Was the brand/product recommended?
- Which competitors appeared?
- What citations were used?
- Were the citations owned, competitor-owned or third-party?
- Was there any negative friction, such as weak reviews, outdated information or missing proof?
Scoring guide
Use simple manual scoring:
| Score | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 0 | Not mentioned |
| 1 | Mentioned only |
| 2 | One of several |
| 3 | Strongly positioned |
| 4 | Primary recommendation |
Manual scoring is directional only. Odyssiant uses a more detailed scoring model that also considers relevance, evidence, favourability, competitor position and friction.
